What’s new at 15c?

New Local Wines | small production
Iberian Remix 2008 | $23

A blend of 98% Albarino & 2% Pinot Gris grown on the Laetitia ranch in Arroyo Grande. This wine was designed by a Master Sommelier. Light and crisp with lots of tropical fruit. A great porch-pounder.

Curran Grenache Blanc 2009 | $18

A new vintage just released and at a great price! The winemaker is Kris Curran who was the original winemaker of Sea Smoke. Grenache Blanc is in the Rhone family and has a very Spring Elder flower nose with stone fruit flavors but a bit more minerality and acid then its sisters.

Hearst Ranch Cabernet Franc 2007 | $28

These guys have just released their first vintage and winemaker Adam Lizaur is doing a great job. The Cabernet Franc is my personal favorite out of the bunch with tons of cocoa powder, chocolate and coffee beans. A touch of green and earth add depth. Cabernet Franc is one of the 5 red Bordeaux varieties and is usually blended. Check out their new tasting room in San Simeon to try the rest.

Clesi Dolcetto 2007 | $30

Little sweet one as they call it in Piedmont Italy, this single vineyard Paso Dolcetto is delish and great with food. With soft tannins, ripe fruit, and versatility this wine will continue to open for several hours. Unfined and unfiltered, enjoy!

Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 | $17

The new Broadside, #1 selling wine in the shop is even better than the last vintage. 100% Santa Margarita Ranch fruit, for $17 you’re going to come back for more!

HOT DEAL | Hanzell Chardonnay 2007

Don’t miss out on this deal. Hanzell Chardonnay, the oldest vineyard in California, has gone from $72 a bottle to $38. Pick up a case and get an additional 20% off! This is the one California Chardonnay that would pass as a white Burgundy in a blind tasting. Rich and complex yet amazingly balanced with acidity and minerality. Only 8 cases left, get it while it lasts!
